CONSORTIUM BUILDING:

BRIDGING INNOVATION AND REGULATORY REALITY

In the highly competitive landscape of Horizon Europe and international funding —where success rates for specialized agrifood calls often fall below 10%—scientific excellence is no longer enough. Many ambitious consortia fail during the evaluation phase because they lack a robust “Technical-Legal Anchor.” Without a partner capable of navigating the shifting EU regulatory and policy landscape, even the most groundbreaking R&D remains at a theoretical level, unable to cross the “regulatory ceiling” required for market entry.

We facilitate the formation of high-level international partnerships by identifying the most suitable industrial, institutional, and research partners. Our approach ensures that technical innovation is balanced with the regulatory expertise necessary for a robust and successful EU project.

We do not just “fill a slot” in a consortium; we contribute to build its normative architecture. Leveraging our extensive network of enterprises and food sector professionals, we help consortia to outline their scope on solid, qualified relationships that align perfectly with the strategic needs of the call.

Our track record demonstrates our ability to act as the “technical-legal compass” for diverse, large-scale projects, often joining forces with dozens of international partners to achieve a common goal:

Within the 29-partner WASTELESS initiative, we acted as the strategic link between digital traceability innovation (Blockchain/AI) and official institutional reporting standards. This endeavour required building trust between tech-heavy partners and regulatory-focused bodies like the JRC and Eurostat.

In the EcoeFISHent project, we are part of a vast 40-partner consortium spanning 8 countries. Our role was critical in managing the interface between green extraction technologies and institutional validation, ensuring that a massive group of stakeholders remained aligned with EU circular economy standards.

Within the CAMELMILK project, we successfully collaborated with 15 partners including universities, SMEs, and specialized consultancies across both shores of the Mediterranean (Algeria, Turkiye, and the EU). We built the legal framework required for cross-border innovation, proving that we can harmonize different legal traditions into a single, functional project.

For the ProFuture microalgae project, we helped build a consortium of 33 partners. We developed a “Joint Authorization” roadmap that allowed these partners to share the financial and evidentiary burdens of safety dossiers, effectively lowering the market entry barrier for the entire industry.

By involving us at the consortium-building stage, coordinators gain:

We ensure that the consortium’s output isn’t just a report, but a “policy-ready” asset positioned for industrial scaling and 450 million European consumers.

Our involvement has supported projects selected from hundreds of submissions.

We provide proven success in navigating complex frameworks like EU Food Hygiene requirements (Regulations (EC) No 852/2004 and 853/2004), Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 for Novel Foods or Animal By-Products (ABP) legislation.

A successful project begins with the right alliance. We offer the specialized expertise to transform your scientific breakthrough into a legally compliant, commercially viable reality.
